Ángel J. Hernández, a native of Compton, California, is a revered cinematographer known for his captivating narratives. His journey began with iPhone portraiture before expanding into directing short films in MexicoLeading, a devoted media team at Color Compton, Ángel recently curated the acclaimed exhibition "Where There is Rubble There’s Treasure," demonstrating his diverse talents and storytelling finesse. As Director of Photography, he's lent his expertise to music videos for notable artists like Cuco and Jay Rock, alongside his successful career as a professional photographer. An avid educator, Ángel imparts his knowledge in cinematography to students in Palmdale and teaches film shooting and development in Compton, where he's pioneering initiatives to democratize film access. Currently pursuing a degree in film production in Cal State Long Beach, Ángel's impact is felt beyond his artistry, evident in his involvement in prestigious thesis projects and exhibitions at the Compton Art and History Museum.
