The creative career lab
Announcing the Creative Career Lab, Get Lit's year-long professional development program that runs from July 2024-May 2025. The Creative Career Lab prepares young professionals ages 18-28 to thrive in a full-time position in the creative and nonprofit sectors. Graduates will receive support finding–and the skills to excel at–a dream job!

- Meet top professionals at creative companies, nonprofits, and startups
- Graduate with a professional resume, letters of recommendation, certifications, and support finding full-time employment
Get Lit's Creative Career Lab is funded by the California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) through the California Community Reinvestment Grants Program (CalCRG). This program aims to create a bridge to success for young adults through critical professional training, connections, and paid job placement.

FILM LAB
This lab offers an introduction to the creative and technical aspects of music video production, guiding students through the process of conceptualizing, shooting, and editing a music video. We will cover the fundamentals of visual storytelling, shot composition, camera techniques, and editing, all while exploring the unique language of music videos and how they can elevate and interact with music.

SOUND LAB
Explore the power of sound and storytelling in this immersive program exploring production and recording. In this course, you’ll learn to integrate music technology into live performance, compose dynamic soundtracks to accompany poetry, and record your spoken word with professional techniques. This course blends composition, recording, and performance into one transformative learning experience.
