Bri Macklin (she/her/they) is a junior at Knight High School in Los Angeles County. Brianna Macklin’s 1st big performance was alongside America’s Got Talent winner Brandon Leake at the first Black owned library in California: Sims Library. Bri writes about Astrology, The Black experience, love, and activism. Poetry has always been a staple in her life as she values writing from the heart and slam really brings out her preformative side. Her goal is to deliver messages to people who may really need to hear it.  Aside from competing in the world of slam poetry Bri is in her school's color guard team.  Art in general and expressing herself through creative outlets is a big passion of hers.
