Jelina Hendrickson

Jelina Hendrickson (she/her) is a current junior at Mark Keppel High School who began her journey of writing poetry in ninth grade. She draws inspiration from her experiences with girlhood, sexuality, religion, mental health, and the intricate process of healing. She has represented her school at the Classic Slam for the last two years and her response poem was featured in the Get Lit Classic Slam 2020 YouTube reel. She has also performed at This Way Out’s Global Queer Read-In as part of a virtual event celebrating Pride month. In her free time, Jelina enjoys traveling, making earrings, and tending to her 30 houseplants.
