Monique Mitchell
Monique Mitchell is an internationally-acclaimed poet and creative strategist based in Los Angeles. As a poet, she has collaborated on global campaigns for Puma, Lexus, Cara Delevigne, Maria Shriver, and Fox Network; as well as for social movements like March for Our Lives. Her poetry has garnered over 4M views online, and she successfully defended California Senate Bill 933, which allocated $50M for arts education across California.
Her writing has been published in The New York Times, A24’s companion book for the Academy Award-winning film Everything Everywhere All At Once, and Cultural Weekly.
In addition to her literary accomplishments, Monique served as the creative advisor and memoirist to Nana Kwame Bediako, Ghana’s CEO of the Decade and 2024 Presidential candidate. Here, she crafted strategic marketing materials for Kwarleyz Group, leveraging storytelling to drive cultural impact.
She returned to California to work with the late Showrunner and Executive Producer, Paul Eckstein, who trained her as a Director of Development. In this role, she helped write and develop scripts and pitch materials for MGM+, Disney, Lebron James’ SpringHill, Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society, Village Roadshow, Content Cartel, and more.
As a brand strategist, she has written campaigns and produced live activations for Focus Features, Ovation, Peter Kim’s Golden Circle Group.
Monique has been ghostwriting r&b and hip hop music since 2016, and has partnered with several Grammy-award winning artists and labels. A Grammy-considered recording artist for her track on 6 Feat, Monique has a proven track record of fostering musical talent and creating inclusive, vibrant musical programs.
Monique studied Cinema Studies & Creative Writing at Manhattanville College in New York, and when she is not reading a book, she can be found reading the stars.
